Soccer is Spain's national sport and the countries most important sport. Soccer is like a religion. Spain's fans are the most dedicated in all of Europe. Every town in Spain has a soccer field and they have many sports newspapers devoted to soccer. Soccer games and soccer reviews are talked about constantly on television. Soccer tickets are very inexpensive, they cost about $25 per ticket. The only time when soccer is not the most talked about sport is when a major event happens in another another.
The Europe soccer league is the most competitive and advanced. Spain teams like to win in all of their competitions. In 2004 and 2006 Spain clubs have not been able to repeat there successions in international competitions. But they redemed themselves in 2010 in the victory against Netherlands in the World Cup. They have four different leagues and relegation's and promotions take place at the end of the season. The season runs from mid September to mid May. During this time on every Saturday and Sunday their are over 100 professional games taking place. Each team will play each other at home and away.
In Spain as soon as the children learned how to walk they start to play soccer. Once they were promising young players they would get snatched up by major clubs and begin starting their training. The average player salary is $6.5 million dollars.
